Snow flakes at 200 km/h

November 24th, 2008 by Wenslauw

It was a nice opportunity. I planned a visit to my parents’ place for last sunday. It was only the second time this year I visited their place. I am a bad kid… I took some ingredients with me for a nice meal. I cooked for them and fixed their computer. My mother asked me to call her when I arrived at home as it was snowing. I told her I would. I sneaked into Germany and got onto the 31… No speed limit for kilometres… I pushed down the pedal and within seconds I was going at 200+ km/h… I considered unbuckling my seatbelt… It’s fascinating how at those speeds snow flakes don’t touch you anymore. No need for windscreen wipers… Just the dark night and white spots moving within centimeters of the body of the car. Invincible, lethal and beautiful… There’s something to travelling at great speed.

    Of course, I’m a good son, aren’t I? ;)

Yes Son, you’re a good son :–) Did you tell her that you drove home carefully in the snow… ? A VERY good son will keep the gorey details to himself and tell his mother what she wants to hear… ;-)
